Support
Services Ops
Support Services manages all non-clinical hospital operations: housekeeping, diet/kitchen services, visitor management, birth/death/LAMA records, referrals, feedback/complaints, and staff notices.
What are Support Services?
Support Services covers the essential non-clinical operations that keep a hospital running smoothly. This includes Housekeeping (ward cleaning, bed sanitization, waste management), Dietary / Kitchen (patient meal planning with allergy/dietary restrictions), Visitors (check-in/check-out tracking), Birth & Death Records (legal registration),Referrals (transferring patients to other facilities),Feedback & Complaints (patient and staff feedback management), and Notices (internal announcements).
Why Do They Exist?
- → Infection control — Proper cleaning schedules prevent hospital-acquired infections
- → Patient nutrition — Dietary errors (e.g., giving a diabetic patient sugar) can harm patients
- → Legal compliance — Births, deaths, and referrals require official documentation
- → Quality improvement — Feedback systems help hospitals improve their services

Meal plans are synced 1:1 with clinical allergy markers. Any change in a patient's state triggers a food-service alert.
Hygiene Certification
Housekeeping must digitally sign-off on ward sanitization, updating 'Bed Readiness' in the IPD module.
